I’m Walking to End Lupus. Join Me?
It's year #2 in El Paso! For the past 45 years, I've has been living with lupus.
This year has been quite difficult. My lupus had been in remission for many years but in July 2017 something triggered a major flare. It is now August 2018 and I'm still suffering. I have seen almost every "ologist" there is. It seems like each time I have a flare, it affects a new part of my body and this time it's my eyes. I was placed on prednisone again which did not take care of the problem so I had to be treated with Rituximab (a form of chemo). I am now back to taking 8-10 pills daily.
Lupus is just as hard to treat as it is to diagnose.
While I'm still suffering from a variety of symptoms, I have it pretty easy compared to others with this disease.
This is where you come in. When you support me and The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA), you are joining the fight to help make a difference in the lives of over 1.5 million patients. If you are in the El Paso area on September 29th, I would love for you to join my team "Judy's Gems" and walk with us. If you're not able to join us, any size donation will make a big difference in finding a cure for this mysterious disease and will be greatly appreciated.
