It's no secret that I’m usually the first one to leave an event because I’m feeling tired or that I sleep an excessive amount, but somehow still feel tired. I was diagnosed with lupus a couple years ago and it finally made sense why I constantly feel a lack of energy. On tough days, I can’t even get off the couch because the fatigue feels like a ton of bricks are weighing me down. On good days, I can make it through a 60 minute yoga class and feel energized. I’ve learned to navigate each day the best I can.
Sadly, there isn’t a cure for this autoimmune disease, but I hope there will be. That is why I’m joining the fight for 1.5 million other people in the U.S. diagnosed with lupus. My personal fundraising goal is to raise $1,000 for the Lupus Foundation of America. I cannot achieve my goal alone, though. If you would like to honor this cause with a donation, I would warmly welcome your contributions to support my fundraising efforts.
Xo,
Ada
