Dear Friends and Family,
On October 16, 2021 the Lupus Foundation of America will be taking Walk to End Lupus Now virtual! This new experience will keep up together safely while we are apart due to the coronavirus. Every step and every dollar raised brings us one step closer to a cure.
The lupus community has been impacted more than most during the pandemic because the disease weakens the immune system and puts people with lupus at a higher risk for COVID. Lupus is hidden, unpredictable, chronic, debilitating and can be fatal.
I’m participating in the virtual Walk because I have lived with this incurable illness for 14 years and I am tired of losing people I love to this deadly disease. This event is so very important because it raises critical funds to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus through programs of research, education, support and advocacy.
Lupus is an unpredictable and misunderstood disease in which the immune system is out of balance, causing damage to any organ system in the body. The exact cause of lupus is unknown and while lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90 percent of the 1.5 million Americans living with the disease are females.
The Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter is the only national force devoted to solving the mystery of lupus, one of the world’s cruelest, most devastating diseases. We envision a life free of lupus.
That is why I’m coming to you now, to ask for your support. Will you make a tax-deductible donation to support my commitment and help The Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter reach our fundraising goal?
My personal goal is to raise as much money as I possibly can through your donations and your loyalty to the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter...I am the voice for my two cousins, Donna Davis, Cherelle Jackson, and my dear friend LaTosha Tre Lewis, who lost their battle to Lupus. As long as I have a voice I will continue to shout, march, walk, whatever it takes to help end this deadly disease.
FYI: If you're uncomfortable submitting your donation online please contact me via Facebook Messenger or email me at email@example.com...I'll gladly assist you with an alternative route.
Thank you for your support!! I will continue to keep you updated as we reach our goal. I'm encouraging and challenging you to forward my request to anyone you feel would support me and other Lupus survivors. Together we can change lives by Saving Lives.
