Hello Everybody!!!
My picture you see above is a woman who's smiling on the outside and crying inside because I'm in pain almost daily. Lupus has silenced two of my cousins, Cherrelle Jackson & Donna Davis and my dear friend Latosha Tree Lewis... who lost there battle to lupus...that's why every year I participate in the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter's Walk to End Lupus Now™ in Atlanta Georgia. Lupus not only came into my life 13 years ago and turned it upside down but it has taken two of my beautiful cousins away from me. This event is so very important because it raises critical funds to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus through programs of research, education, support and advocacy.
Lupus is an unpredictable and misunderstood disease in which the immune system is out of balance, causing damage to any organ system in the body. The exact cause of lupus is unknown and while lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90 percent of the 1.5 million Americans living with the disease are females.
The Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter is the only national force devoted to solving the mystery of lupus, one of the world’s cruelest, most devastating diseases. We envision a life free of lupus. That is why I’m coming to you now, to ask for your support. Will you make a tax-deductible donation to support my commitment and help The Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter reach our fundraising goal?
My personal goal is to raise as much money as I possibly can through your donations and your loyalty to the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter...I am the voice for my two cousins, Donna and Cherelle, who lost their battle to Lupus. As long as I have a voice I will continue to shout, march, walk, whatever it takes to help end this deadly disease.
FYI: If you're uncomfortable submitting your donation online please contact me at 404-784-0417 or email me at melnswtpee@bellsouth.net...I'll gladly assist you with an alternative route.
Thank you for your support!! I will continue to keep you updated as we reach our goal. I'm encouraging and challenging you to forward my request to anyone you feel would support me and other Lupus survivors. Together we can change lives by Saving Lives.
Respectfully,
Melody Davis
