Why I'm walking...
In loving memory of one of my best friends, Leesa Sengaphone who lost her battle with Lupus, 4 years ago. Leesa embodied beauty, intelligence and grace. She inspired and loved so many just with her smile and her magnetic personality. She was truly the definition of a true friend. Always so helpful, giving, kind & positive! Even though she was dealing with the sickness, she never let that stop her from living her life to the fullest. Leesa was (and still is) my hero and I miss her terribly. For that reason I walk in luv and memory of my beautiful friend, and to make a difference in the lives of others living with this disease.
Please support our Team "Fifty Shades Of Awesome" in donating to help bring awareness and help find a cure for this disease. It will make a difference in the lives of so many.
I luv u all...
Did you know?
- Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
- Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
- While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
- Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.
Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Thank you for your generosity!
