I’m Walking to End Lupus. Join Me?
As some may already know, I was diagnosed with lupus in October, 2018. I have (not knowingly) been battling this condition sinced I was 15 and although I had a sense of relife when I was finally diagnosed, it has been an emotional rollercoaster for me to not only speak about it, but to finally accept my condition. Well this is my final stage of grief, acceptance. I am finally accepting myself for all that I am and playing with the cards life has dealt me.
It would mean the world to me to have all my friends and family join me, the AmorZen Life Team, as I participate in Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now™ at Lake Eola, April 27 from 4pm - 6:30pm. Any donation, sponsorship or even just sharing this fundraiser page is greatly appreciated.
Donations aid in the research to find a cure for lupus. Some facts about the condition are mentioned below.
Did you know?
* Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
* Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
* While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
* Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.
Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Thank you for your generosity!
