I’m Walking to End Lupus Because My Mom Has It and She Needs a Cure!
I'm walking for my Mom because she does so many things for me, my school and other people. I really want her to be able to have a cure because she has trouble breathing, hurts a lot sometimes and she gets tired all the time. She still tries to help out with everything for me and my school even when she feels bad. If she had a cure she could do everything even better and she would probably be a lot happier too. I love her so much I'd give everything for her!
We are going to the Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now™ in Jacksonville, FL to try and raise money for all the people with Lupus in the United States. Will you make a donation to help me reach my personal fundraising goal? Every single dollar counts and can help doctors and other people find a cure!
Here are some things you might want to know about Lupus:
- Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
- Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
- While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
- Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.
Together, we can find a cure for Lupus!
