Dear Friend of the LFANC,
We hope this note finds you well. In February, we informed you of the leadership transition for our current President & CEO, Christine John-Fuller, who announced her May departure from the organization after 10 years of tremendous service. The LFANC Board of Directors worked with a search firm to help find a new President & CEO. Our goal was to complete our search and have a new CEO selected to start by the late May/June timeframe. We are excited to announce that we’ve met that goal! Our Board of Directors recently unanimously approved the hiring of Jennifer (Jenny) Prince as our next President & CEO. A native of Wilmington, NC - Jenny joins our LFANC family with a wealth of knowledge as a professional non-profit executive director. She has over 15 years’ experience leading and enhancing the lives of others in the North Carolina community. The Board is very excited to begin introducing Jenny to our LFANC family and support her as she assimilates and develops her leadership priorities. There will be future announcements regarding opportunities on how you can meet Jenny. Her first day with the chapter will begin on Tuesday, May 30th.
As we move forward, our priorities remain the same:
- Maintaining organizational momentum
- Taking care of all our people
- Supporting our new CEO & President to advance the Mission & Vision of the Lupus Foundation of America, NC Chapter
You have the commitment of our leadership that we are putting complete focus on ensuring the best for the organization and those we serve. We identify that you may have questions that may arise. Feel free to reach out to us directly with any thoughts, ideas, or concerns you may have. we can be reached at boardchair@lupusnc.org. We look forward to serving you with the same dedication as always. As we mentioned before, if you’re asking, “What can I do to help?”, our answer is to do whatever you can to continue the positive momentum of our chapter – fundraise/donate, volunteer, and stay engaged.
And with that thought in mind, here are a few suggestions:
- Continue fundraising for one of our three North Carolina Walks – Fundraising Deadlines: Raleigh (Closed, but still accepting gifts), Charlotte (June 6th), and Fayetteville (June 20th). For those that have already taken up this call, we thank you!
- Were not able to participate in a walk? Organize your own fundraiser through our Make Your Mark™ program.
- Have an idea for supporting the LFANC that you want to brainstorm? Contact Us.
The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter needs our commitment now more than ever.
Lastly, we would be remiss if we did not mention our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Christine John-Fuller for her 10 years of service to our LFANC community. Christine has been a tireless advocate for this organization, dedicating her time, treasure, and talents to ensure its advancement. She will always be a part our family and we cannot wait to see her do great thing in her next adventure. Christine – We Salute You!
Sincerely,

Jace
