We're so excited to be able to return to having an in-person symposium this year and are busy planning the agenda!  Topics will be Lupus and Pregnancy, Teens Living With Lupus, Caregiver Conversation, Bringing the Fight to Lupus Nephritis: An Introduction to LUPKYNIS™ (Voclosporin), The Mind-Body Connection...The Power You Have to Create A Safe Space For Your Body to Heal, Secret Weapon to Getting Organized, and Lupus Living-The Importance of Proper Nutrition. There will be a plated lunch, exhibitors, lupus merchandise for sale, and time for socializing. We hope you'll join us on Saturday, October 30, from 11:15-4:45 pm, at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Plainfield. 2021 Faces of Lupus Fashion Show Models
These are some of the beautiful and handsome Faces of Lupus Fashion Show models who either have lupus or care for someone who does. We hope you'll join us for this fun event being held on Saturday, September 25, at Ivy Tech Culinary and Conference Center in Indianapolis. In addition to the Fashion Show, there will be a buffet lunch, awesome vendors, photo opportunities and raffle prizes. Net proceeds benefit our Chapter's Patient Access to Healthcare (PATH) program, providing emergency assistance to Hoosiers who are battling lupus.  Learn More and Buy Tickets

Our Chapter offers the Patient Access to Healthcare (PATH) program for people in Indiana living with lupus to assist with the most crucial needs that can't be met through other community resources. We're happy that the Crown Point Community Foundation has partnered with us in making this program available for Lake county residents living with lupus. The following goods and services are eligible for subsidy: •Emergency prescriptions •Medical appointment •Lab work •Durable medical equipment •Transportation to or from a medical appointment •Emergency utilities (water, electric, gas) •Emergency rent/housing.

'Let's Talk About It' is a series of live educational webinars designed to provide you with important information about living with lupus. Don't miss this opportunity to learn important information about living with lupus from the comfort of your home!

This webinar with be an interactive presentation on what is it to live with anxiety in conjunction with lupus. Working through anxiety as it pertains to day-to-day living with lupus, learning coping skills to deal with this as well as learning a new normal post-pandemic will be the focus.

We're happy to share great news reported in the last couple of weeks!  It was announced on August 2 that the FDA has approved Saphnelo™  (Anifrolumab-fpia) as a new treatment for lupus. This type 1 interferon receptor antagonist demonstrated early and sustained benefits for people with moderate to severe systemic lupus erythematosus.  Read More

On July 29, the House of Representatives passed the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education (LHHS) appropriations bill which includes funding for several critical lupus priorities!  Read More
