LFA Indiana's PATH program is on the move! This year the Patient Access to Health Care program has provided much needed assistance to two people living with lupus - one of which is a resident of Fort Wayne and was living in a pest-invested apartment that worsened her lupus complications and affected her mental and emotional health. The PATH fund provided the deposit on her new, clean apartment home and payment to start her utility services. She is so grateful for this financial assistance and is living a better life because of it! The other resident, who lives in Richmond, experienced a lupus-related dental emergency. Her consultation stated that the care she needed would cost $1,170.50. She is self-employed and had experienced a drought in business during the pandemic shut-down. With the full assistance of PATH, she received the care she needed and is eternally grateful for our help! Check out PATH if you need resources. We are here to help!

RAY: Research Accelerated by You |
Your input can be the key to accelerating lupus research! Ensuring scientists better understand the perspectives and experiences of people living with lupus is critical to the development of new lupus treatments. That's why RAY: Research Accelerated by You was created. RAY is the LFA's patient-powered research platform where people with lupus and caregivers can provide information about their lupus experience to help researchers better understand this complex disease and accelerate the development of new treatments. Researchers can't develop lupus treatment options without the input of the true experts of the disease — people living with lupus. They also need you to get involved so they can conduct studies that represent the diverse population of the lupus community. Participating in RAY is easy. To get started you simply fill out an online survey on the RAY platform about your lupus experience, and you can do it from the convenience of your home computer, smartphone or tablet. If you are interested in sharing your lupus experience to help advance lupus research, please join RAY today. Learn More
