The latest research findings, information, and tools for people with lupus.
Greetings LFA-Indiana Chapter!
My name is La Toija Shantel Snodgrass. Since graduation from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus with a master’s in public health (epidemiology concentration), I have served in public health as an epidemiologist, health promotion strategist and leader. With my combined public health service of 8 years in state government, private sector and NPOs, I have grown and learned incredible lessons that have brought me to this point.
It is my esteemed honor and privilege to serve in the capacity of CEO for this tremendous organization. I appreciate the hard work that has established LFA, as the force that it is, and plan to build on that foundation to increase our community engagement and presence, financial stability and events success. I appreciate each of you welcoming me as your leader. I am excited to add programs to support practitioners who serve lupus patients, re-evaluate the strategic plan and identify areas for growth and expansion. The year 2021 is an opportunity for us to show our resilience, unity and tenacity-let’s work! Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
Cheers,
|

This March, join us and thousands of your fellow lupus advocates for the second-ever Digital Lupus Advocacy Summit! From March 2-4, 2021, the entire lupus community will come together virtually for two days of educational and networking opportunities focused on lupus advocacy, research, drug development, and support. And on the final day, meet virtually with your members of Congress to share your lupus story and advocate for policies to improve the quality of life for everyone affected by this disease. We were one of the first national organizations to hold an entirely digital advocacy event in 2020, bringing together nearly 3,000 lupus advocates on less than one week's notice. And in 2021, we have even bigger plans - we hope you'll join us for this monumental event. Learn more at Lupus.org/Summit.

LFA Partnership to Bring Financial Assistance to People with Lupus |
The Lupus Foundation of America is proud to partner with the HealthWell Foundation, an independent non-profit that recently reopened its Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) Fund to help underinsured people living with lupus afford their treatments. Through the new partnership, both organizations will cross refer people to valuable support resources, promote special initiatives within the lupus community, and work together to develop strategies and programs to assist more people with lupus in need. By combining their strengths, the Foundations stand ready to provide essential financial and educational resources to those living with lupus. Learn More |
