Join us for an empowering discussion on Inflammation and SLE pathology of diseases. Inflammation is one of the body’s main defense mechanisms used to indicate that there is a problem that needs urgent solving. It is the body’s inherent protective reaction to injury, disease, or irritation of the tissues. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) called Lupus for short is a clinical condition that can be managed well with the right treatments, that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs (autoimmune disease) often from a trigger that results in widespread whole body inflammation. Science is helping us understand better the pathology of the disease and how it affects the inflammatory changes in the body that may be related to diabetes, increased risk of heart attacks, strokes and kidney disease.
