This teleconference will cover an overview of issues pertaining to this transitioning period. Lupus can interfere with an adolescent’s development of independence, peer relationships, and day-to-day normal activities. Adolescence is stressful for healthy teens; add the stress of living with a chronic illness and adolescence can be overwhelming.
