Our Chapter is happy to be partnering with the Indiana Minority Health Coalition; Lupus Education and Awareness Program; and the Office of Minority Health and Office of Women’s Health, Indiana State Department of Health to offer a fun and interactive painting activity and lupus educational workshop for people with lupus and their caregivers. The Lupus 101 Workshop is targeted for people recently diagnosed with lupus; however, all people with lupus are welcome. 

Agenda:

1:00-1:30 pm - Social gathering with snacks for people with lupus and caregivers/family members to get to know each other, LFA, Indiana Chapter staff and board members, representatives from Indiana Minority Health Coalition, Lupus Education and Awareness Program, the Office of Minority Health and Office of Women’s Health, Indiana State Department of Health, and other partners.

1:30 to 3:00 pm - Instructor-led canvas painting activity

3:00-4:00 pm - Lupus 101 Workshop:

  • Basic overview of lupus
  • Diagnosis and treatment
  • Managing symptoms
  • Local resources available through LFA, Indiana Chapter


Space is limited to 30 attendees (minimum age of 13 years old). The $10/person registration fee holds your spot but will be refunded at event check-in.
